Julie Ann Crowley
Kemi’s Assistant, KBJ Admin
Julie Ann has been supporting families and other birthkeepers since 2014. She comes from Ireland but now lives in Northamptonshire, UK, where she serves the families across the surrounding counties and much further afield. Mentoring other Doulas and Birthkeepers, Julie Ann strikes-up powerful and lasting connections with the good people she meets. Her wealth of experience in the birth space comes from just under 3 years as a student midwife and the rest as a Doula and Birthkeeper of freebirth, home birth, birth centre births, those who birth on the labour ward and in theatre.
A driving force behind the But Not Maternity campaign (originating from her birth client Holly Avis and fellow Doula Abbi Leibert) following the injustice of NHS Trusts restricting the movement of pregnant people and their support persons; Julie Ann finds herself amongst the most fiercest of activists. Having spent 3 years of dedicated service as the AIMS UK Social Media Team Creator, it was time to join forces with Kemi in early 2021 and bring her extensive experience, knowledge and attitude to life with Birth Power communities of birthkeepers and families.

Hi! I'm Leonie; mother to 3 boys, and Birthkeeper working virtually in the UK.
I freebirthed all of my children with just my husband present; my first was born in our bell tent, my second was a super speedy birth in the bath after an unassisted pregnancy, and my third was born in the birth pool at home.
I became obsessed with all things birth whilst preparing for my first, when I realised that birth could follow a different path to what we've been taught.
I support a range of families; from those who are preparing for freebirth and unassisted pregnancy, to those who are simply declining some things and are hand-picking their care options...and anything in between!
I offer virtual support sessions, and I run a monthly course called Navigating Officialdom. I also co-host a podcast called 'Normal Boring Freebirth for Normal Boring People' with my friend Victoria @freetobirth.
I am committed to bringing about change, quietly but surely reminding you that the choice is yours to make.
Kemi and I met whilst I was pregnant with my 3rd, and she unwittingly cemented my plans to freebirth again!

Hi I’m Caz and I’m a fully certified birth geek. When I’m not supporting clients through Hypnobirthing, antenatal classes, postnatal support groups and birth doula work I am reading/watching/ listening to all there is to know about pregnancy, birth and postnatal as well as creating awareness around the shitshow that are ‘maternity services’
There is nothing I love more than giving people the tools to advocate for themselves when negotiating getting the birth they choose without fear or coercion.
Being here in Kemi’s group amongst some of the (in my opinion) best birthkeepers in the country is an absolute privilege and I can’t wait to get started supporting you amazing parents to be!
